I am writing to ask your cooperation in completing the Annual Statewide Parent Survey. This survey is sent to all parents of children with an Individual Education Program (I.E.P.). Each school district receives a score for both parent participation in completing the survey and an overall satisfaction (or engagement) score. Individual parent reports remain confidential.
You should expect to receive the survey in the mail at the end of March or the beginning of April. If you have more than one child with an I.E.P., you will receive a survey for each child. The federal government is looking for you to report on your level of satisfaction with each school team that you are working with.
I know how busy parents are with their children in today’s society. Many of you are exhausted at the end of a day of work, and then you are faced with after school activities, dinner, laundry, etc. If you could fit in 15 minutes to complete this survey, the school district would be very grateful. We are interested in getting your feedback, regardless of how you feel. Your feedback gives us an opportunity to reflect on our practices in partnering with you and other parents.
Thank you for your cooperation.
