WELCOME!! HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING...

 Last year's soup/oatmeal Fundraiser , Barnes and Noble and candle scents were great successes. Thank you to all the students who worked hard selling the soups/oatmeal and candles. During the soup/oatmeal fundraiser we had a contest for the person who sold the most winning a $100.00 gift card to Best Buy.

 Congratulations Sam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $100.00 gift card winner!

Way to sell and great job with a total in sales of $193.00.

 Next year, next fundraiser anyone could be the winner so keep up the good work. Remember, anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

 We had a great time at Barnes and Noble with the chorus selection and gift wrapping.

 We would also like to thank the parents who volunteered to organize & help out at the various fundraisers as well as the teachers who took the extra time to help out. Without your help we would not get very far. ** DMS PTO is excited to get the 2011 fundraisers underway. THANK YOU EVERYONE.  One of our main focuses this school year is making sure the 8th graders get the end of the year field trip they deserve. Parents,students and teachers alike have worked and continue to work hard on a regular basis to get these students through the middle school years and we would like to show our graditude by helping the 8th graders on their way.

 We have not forgotten the newbies (5th and 6th graders) or the 7th graders, you are all very important and deserve nothing but the very best in all your middle school travels.

 With the help of students,teachers,staff,parents and community we will move forward with a positive and enriching expeirience for all. Thank you for all your support.

If you or your child ever felt alone on the issue of bullies, here's help.  Being bullied is an experience common to many children.  It takes on many forms (physical, emotional and mental) and can have lasting effects.  Children and parents who are worried about bullying in our school are urged to speak with a faculty member (guidance or classroom teacher) or one of the school's administrators located in the main office.

You may have noticed a STATE MANDATED policy against bullying in our schools. The entire policy is located in the student handbook. If you EVER have any problems, refer to the policy, USE IT, and make sure others do too!!
