Portfolio Committee

The Portfolio Committee of the School Improvement Team is currently exploring options for implementing the digital portfolio in our school. During last year, the committee researched other models at various high schools. We then created a list of recommendations for faculty and the administration to consider when the school begins implementation. This year, the committee will continue to research this topic and help the school put the digital portfolio into place for our current 9th and 10th graders. Please consider joining this committee.

Ninth Grade Honors Committee

The Ninth Grade Honors Committee is currently researching the possibility making honors classes for 9th graders once again. Over the past few years this option has been removed from the 9th grade schedule, however, all 10th - 12th graders have the choice to take an honors class. The committee has been researching many areas to be sure that this would be beneficial for our students. This coming year, we anticipate finalizing our research and creating a recommendation report for the administration. Please consider joining this very important committee.

Professional Development Committee

The Professional Development works to advise the Professional Development Academy as to what type of trainings would be most beneficial to the faculty. This committee is currently looking into topics that include literacy, differentiated instruction, and the new digital portfolio. Please consider joining this committee.

Personalization Committee

The Personalization Committee is currently looking into a personalization model for our school. They have researched various models that other schools have been using. Over the last year, a pilot group of students have been experiencing a mentor program that the committee has been overseeing. During the next year, the committee hopes to review this program and apply it to more of out student population. Please consider joining this well needed committee.
