The PTA Mission

Our mission is threefold:

  • Support and speak on behalf of our children and youth in the schools, in the community and before government bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children
  • Assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children
  • Encourage parent and public involvement in our schools



The PTA Commitment

The PTA provides Parents:  

  • A Way to Assist in Making a Memorable School Year 
  • Regular updates on school activities and policies
  • Access to teachers, administrators and other Greenbush parents
  • A forum to discuss school concerns and problems
  • Access to educational and parenting resources
  • Appreciation from students, teachers and your community
  • Education on state funding and other issues concerning Greenbush

Fundraisers

Our PTA raises money throughout the year to sponsor school activities, projects and improvements at Greenbush school.  Successful fundraising helps us fund our Cultural Arts Program, which allows the students to see several artistic performances throughout the school year.  In addition to Cultural Arts, the PTA needs finances to host special events and address school wide needs.  Without fundraising, these events would not be possible and this is where we need your help the most.

 

Participation

Our monthly meetings allow the perfect forum for all parents to provide their opinions and ideas about our school.  Let us hear your voice.

 

 

Commitment

We understand that not everyone is able to attend the monthly meetings but there are all kinds of ways to help, from fundraising to event planning to volunteering at our school. We'll help find the best fit for you!  The more parents we can get involved, the better we can serve. 

 

The PTA Membership Fee

An annual membership fee of $10.00 per family is requested.
