![]() GLEs (Grade Level Expectations) outline what students are expected to be able to do at the end of a particular grade.) The NECAP (New England Common Assessment Program) measures how successful students are in meeting these grade level expectations. Elementary school students are tested in reading and math in grades 3, 4,& 5. Fifth graders are also tested in writing. Students in these grades will be tested in October on what they are expected to know at the end of the previous grade. For example, 3rd graders are tested on what they are expected to do by the end of 2nd grade. The links below provide more detailed information on GLE's and the NECAP. Sample items are also available for practice. |
