Answers
1)  Q Can I have additional software installed in my classroom?
A
Yes. Please use the "Useful Links" section on the left hand side of this page and select the link relative to your building. Fill it out and send the form as described to get the process started.
2)  Q I can't print. What's wrong?
A
There are a number of reasons that this can occur. Before putting in a call to the Help Desk(IT), try rebooting and logging in again. If that doesn't resolve it, send an e-mail to the Help Desk(IT) requesting assistance.
3)  Q I can't access my e-mail. What's wrong?
A
As explained in question 2, there are a number of reasons that this can occur. Before putting in a call to the Help Desk(IT), try rebooting and logging in again. Please be sure to login using the format (DomainUsername) as displayed on the login page. If that doesn't resolve it, request someone to send an e-mail to the Help Desk(IT) requesting assistance.
4)  Q Can I bring in my own printer from home?
A
Unfortunately, no. There are a number of reasons that we do not allow personal equipment to be used on our network. Primarily, the number of models, types and reliability of personal printers makes it impossible for us to support anything other than the managed environment that currently exists here in West Warwick.
5)  Q I have some trial/evaluation/shareware software that I'd like to have installed. Is that possible?
A
Because most trial, evaluation or shareware software packages expire after a given number of days or uses, many of them will then start nagging you with pop ups, reminders or, in some cases, cause your machine to function improperly. For that reason, we only install software that has been purchased by, and fully licensed to the West Warwick Public Schools.
6)  Q I can't access the Global Address Book when I check my mail with the Outlook Web Client. How can I find it?
A
Don't worry....it's there. It's just a little different. Follow the step by step directions below for a quick how-to. Ready? Here we go.......... First, login to webmail using the wwpsusername format and your assigned password. Make sure the "Inbox" is highlighted. Next select the "New" icon in the right hand pane. When the E-mail form displays, select the "To" option. When presented with the "Find Names -- Web Page Dialog" box, place your cursor in the "Alias" field. Next, keeping in mind that the standard user naming convention is first initial, last name, type the person's (or group) first initial and the first letter of the last name. Click "Find". You should now be presented with a list of names meeting the criteria you selected. Tip: The more characters provided in the "Alias" field, the smaller and more focused the search results.
7)  Q "I get a message that says my mailbox is full but I only have one piece of e-mail. How can it be full?"
A
It's not how many messages you have in your Inbox, rather it's what's contained in those messages.

For example, if your mailbox size is 10Kb, I can shut your mailbox down with a single e-mail of 10Kb in size OR, I can do it by sending you ten 1Kb e-mails.

Attaching videos, pictures, spreadsheets, Word documents, as well as using stationery (it's a graphic), etc..... to your e-mails all contribute to the e-mail size.
8)  Q My homepage has changed all of a sudden! How can I reset it?
A
With Internet Explorer running, from the Menu Bar, select “Tools”, then select “Internet Options”. The first item you see under the “General” tab is where you set your homepage. Simply type the URL (address) of the page you wish to set as your homepage then click on “Apply” and “OK”.
