| Dear Ronald Dahl,
I really enjoyed reading your book, The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me. My favorite part of the book was when the pelican flew from the window from the old candy store and scooped the boy up in his enormous bottom beak. The boy was scared because he thought the pelican was going to swallow him like a fish but the pelican said “I promise I won’t eat you”.
I wanted to ask you a question: who are you most like of all the characters in our book?
I think I am most like the pelican. I think this because I ask a lot of questions like the pelican, I have a big mouth like the pelican (some people say this about me) and I want to fly like the pelican.
My second favorite part of the book is when this guy buys the candy store and reopens it up and everyone is very happy because the whole town loves candy.
Thank you for creating this book and I look forward to reading your next novel.
