On behalf of the Rhode Island Department of Education and the Education Alliance at Brown University , I would like to thank you for applying to serve as a Graduation by Proficiency Year I Demonstration Site.  We received proposals from nearly half of the high schools in the state, and, on a whole, were quite impressed with the quality of work being done in service of Graduation by Proficiency.

We are pleased to inform you that West Warwick High School has been chosen as Year I Demonstration Site. The Graduation by Proficiency project partners, staff, and proposal reviewers are excited to be working closely with your school over the next year.

You will soon receive a contract and scope of work that will describe your responsibilities and total grant amount awarded to your school. The scope of work and the grant award will correspond to the grantee responsibilities outlined in the original RFP and information detailed in West Warwick’s proposal, respectively. However, please note that both may be tailored to individual strengths of your school and system of graduation by proficiency. 

Again, we would like to welcome you to the Rhode Island Department of Education and Education Alliance at Brown University ’s Graduation by Proficiency Project.  We look forward to working with you and developing programs that will allow other schools to learn from your past and future good work.
