A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Can it really be true?  I looked at the calendar this morning and could hardly believe my eyes!  It is so hard for me to believe that I am writing the final piece for the newsletter for the year. It seems like I closed my eyes and time elapsed without me noticing.  I think time passes by quickly when you truly love what you are doing.  The days and months slip away because we are so invested in the new learning that faces us each day.  When I see those little smiles, that eagerness to learn, the willingness of students to take risks in the learning environment, I am truly impressed.

As we cross the finish line to the year, I am reminded of all the wonderful moments that we have experienced.  It reminds me that making each moment count is what matters the most.   In life we have many defining moments.  The magic of a meaningful event happens when family and friends come together to unite in a special celebration.  There have been many moments that have truly touched me…and these memories will last for a lifetime.

There are really not enough words to express my appreciation for all of the teachers, faculty, parents and students.  Your unconditional encouragement and support since I arrived at the Greenbush School is immeasurable.  Your willingness to reach out and get involved has energized me to ensure your child has an enriched school experience.  Your children are all special, unique and talented individuals. I must admit that everyday I am touched by little blessings.  I often wonder how I got so lucky to be at this wonderful school in West Warwick.  I have so much enjoyed being part of the positive spirit that breathes within our school.

I would like to thank all of the parents who have assisted with such a successful year. Your ongoing involvement in your child’s education truly helped them have a successful year.

As summer approaches and the schedule winds down, please consider having your children participate in some educational activities. I would recommend students read a few times a week.  Also, playing a game of scrabble or boggle with your child is a great way to keep their learning alive during time away from school.

May your summer be filled with laughter and love! Be well and be safe!

Your Partner in Education, Joan DeAngelis
