Working with the Town of West Warwick for funding to continue with the fire code renovations needed in the West Warwick Public Schools.

Design work underway for a new fire alarm and sprinkler system for John F. Deering Middle School and West Warwick High School.

The sprinkler and fire alarm installation in the West Warwick Middle School is being planned to start construction in early June 2013.

Increased security measures are being installed throughout the district to ensure the safety of students and staff. Along with this, safety audits are being performed at each of our school buildings to look into further improving the security throughout the district.

We are working with National Grid and RISE to look into further energy saving measures for the district such as: variable frequency drives, lighting retrofits, outside lighting LED retrofits, steam trap replacement and types of new insulation for our heating systems.
