On June 3, 2005 some members of Mrs. Frenette's class went to the Rhode Island Special Olympics at the University of Rhode Island.

Jennifer Redman won silver medals for the 25 meter walk and the softball throw.

Jimmy Morris from Miss David's class won a silver medal for the 50 meter race. He also won a fourth place ribbon for the softball throw.

Austin Charette won a fourth place ribbon for the 50 meter race ana a bronze medal for the softball throw.

Malyssa Carroll won gold medals in the realy race and the softball throw. She also won a silver medal for the 100 meter race.

Jennifer Redman also read her DARE essay at the final grade 5 assembly on June 15, 2005. She also received a special award for the BEST SMILE! Good luck at the middle school, Jen! We will miss your smile at Wakefield Hills!
