Dear WWPS Member:

The purpose of this site will be to engage the WWPS community in a conversation around the creation of a standards based report card for the elementary school students.

Please add your comments to our discussion forums and our blog.

You can get started by clicking on the Report Card Documents link and then selecting the Report_Card_Example_with_WWPS_Notes_.pdf file. This document has some basic information about what a possible elementary school report card could look like.

There are some limitations of the software that should be noted.

The sections of the report card that are in bold type have to be the same for all grade levels across all schools. The information that is located in a bulleted list can change across grade levels. In essence that means we can have a report card that has the same essential elements but changes across grade levels concerning the specific indicatators that are being assessed and reported on. I point this information out in the document referenced above. I also believe that one we create a report card in any given year we can't make major changes to it until the next school year.

Please forgive my and my staff if we have to backtrack along this journey, because we are learning this process with you as we proceed into the future.

Thank you,

Jim Monti,

Director of Technology
