 Deering Middle School students have been challenged to read,read, read this summer. Please encourage your child to take this challenge and actively participate in this first exciting team event. There are five easy steps to succeed: 1. Keep a reading log and record the number of minutes spent reading. 2. At the end of the summer, choose your best read and report out using the Critic's Corner document attached below. 3. Return your log and Critic's Corner to your classroom teacher. 4. Your team will calculate the number of minutes read by all team members. 5. The team with the most minutes read during the Summer of 2008 wins the reading challenge and will be entitled to a Reading Celebration!
