Kenneth M. Sheehan, Superintendent of Schools, announced the proposed closure of Maisie E. Quinn Elementary School for the 2010-2011 school year to the school during a faculty meeting. Mr. Sheehan hosted a press conference with members of the school committee immediately following the meeting with the faculty and administration. Mr. Sheehan has scheduled a public information meeting for parents on Feb. 23, at the high school, at which time Mr. Sheehan will present his plan and ask the School Committee to approve it.
