Greenbush School's "Amazing Lemonade Stand" Like many kids, first grader Adam Marsh dreamed of having a lemonade stand. Recently, his dream came true. With the help of some adult friends, Adam and two other Greenbush students, fourth graders Cara Bergeron and Kaitlyn Parry hosted their own lemonade stand. What could be sweeter than kids selling lemonade? Kids selling lemonade to support a good cause! These three remarkable students wholeheartedly peddled lemonade and accepted donations on behalf of the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, an organization whose goal is to raise money to help cure childhood cancer. Greenbush teachers Alyson Satchell and Mary Flynn-Bergeron decided to help support the students' good intentions by having a lemonade stand built so that the children could host it at the recent Greenbush School Yard Sale. Between donations collected during the past few weeks from school staff and students, and lemonade sales these hardworking students raised $443.00 for the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. The foundation was started in 2000 by the 4 year old daughter of Mrs. Flynn-Bergeron's cousin. Since its inception, it has raised more than $25 million dollars for the cure and research of childhood cancer. We are very proud of Adam, Cara and Kaitlyn for all their hard work.
