Greenbush Elementary Mission Statement

The Mission of the Greenbush Elementary School, in partnership with families and the community, is to provide opportunities for a comprehensive, differentiated education that fosters academic and emotional growth for our diverse student population.  We strive to prepare our students to become lifelong learners and develop 21st Century skills to be successful, contributing citizens to society in our ever changing world.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As you know morning drop off and pick up is a busy time at our school.  We respectfully request that you park in only designated parking spots in our lot.  The perimeter of the parking lot is reserved for buses that are arriving or departing with our students.  We need to keep this area open, so that we can safely allow for buses to enter and exit.  In addition, we are required to have this area clear so that in the event of an emergency, safety vechiles have quick and open access to our school.

Many parents frequently drop their children off in the morning.  To ensure safety for all, I am requesting that this protocol be followed:

  • Please proceed in the lane for parent drop off.
  • Do not allow your child to exit the vechile until you are in front of the crosswalk.
  • Only when you have reached the front of the building should you allow your child to exit the vechile.
  • Please be sure the supervising adult is at the crosswalk to prior to allowing your child to safely exit the vehicle.

PLEASE do not  allow your child to exit the vechile in the parking lot or prior to reaching the crosswalk.  It is important that you continue in the line of drop off and be mindful that staff will be available to ensure every child crosses safely.  Thank you for your cooperation.
